All SMEC LEA and Adult Services programs will be closed due to inclement weather for Monday, February 8th. Administrative offices will be closed as well.
Due to weather, all school programs are closed on Friday, February 5th. Our SAIL and ADH programs, as well as our administrative office will be open regular operating hours.
Downtown New Bedford LCC is having their annual Deck the Windows contest. Last year the SAIL window won the title Best Overall. If you are interested in voting on this year’s ballot forms are available at the SAIL office.
Information regarding the upcoming Collaborative Program Review being conducted by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education can be found below. This information, in addition to results and ratings at the conclusion of the Review will be listed in the Public Information section of the website. In order to improve the professional development we provide, we have created a survey for the purposes of gauging the needs of educational professionals in the region. If you are a local educator or administrator who has visited SMEC for professional development in the past, or think you may take advantage of our services in the future, please take a moment to fill out our survey.
The Standard-Times was at the Friends of SMEC Benefit Dance on Friday night and took pictures of the event. Thank you to them as well as the many volunteers that made the dance successful.
