Early Childhood Program

The Early Childhood Program, formerly called the Program of Experiential Learning, serves students ages 3-6 with social/emotional, communication and/or developmental disabilities. A 3:1 student/staff ratio, along with a highly structured setting and utilization of research-based behavior management techniques, enables students to make progress on an individualized basis. Although the classroom is self-contained, students are provided inclusion opportunities on an individual basis throughout the week.

Academics are based on the MA Curriculum Frameworks for Preschool and Kindergarten. A licensed Special Education Teacher, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and qualified paraprofessionals work together as a team to provide a positive learning environment and to allow students to progress at their own pace.

The program also utilizes the services of an Autism Consultant. Physical therapy services are available.
